Unique Sleep Plans

I provide sleep plans and support that is unique to each family and their child. Even twins and siblings could have different needs and concerns. From newborn to 5 years old, there is a way to support your family and accomplish better sleep. Each age group has their own set of challenges and limitations, but that shouldn't stop you from asking for help. We also offer a variety of services to fit your budget and support needs.

Ongoing Support

Select sleep packages provide ongoing support through the Rested app or via email. The Rested app allows families to log their child's sleep, make notes, and message me directly with any question or concerns. I can view all their logs and continue to assess their progress. This provides the most accurate and simple method for tracking sleep and communication. Providing support is at the heart of everything I do, and you deserve to have the best.

Comprehensive Sleep Plans

Most of my sleep packages include detailed and comprehensive plans. Depending on your concerns, we can provide a plan for bedtime, night wakings, naps, early morning wakes, sleep regressions, night weaning, eliminating sleep prop dependency, achieving independent sleep, crib transitions, and much more. Your plan could include all of these things or just some, it all depends on what your family needs. We also provide plans that focus on just one area if that's what is needed.

Intergrated Community Resources and Connections

I have connections to lactation consultants, pediatric physical therapists, doulas, pediatricians, mental health counselors, and more. By staying connected, I am able to stay up to date on best practices and provide appropriate sleep support. I am able to refer out to other specialties when it is not appropriate to sleep train or if other concerns arise. I provide a list of local community resources, so you don't have to hunt down the help you need, even if it's not for sleep. 

The Different Age Groups

Prenatal and Newborn
0-3 months

This is a great time to prepare and establish a healthy sleep foundation that you can build on. Being proactive can minimize sleep troubles as your baby gets older. I provide education that promotes healthy sleep habits and optimizes sleep before sleep training is an option. 

Baby and Toddler
4-36 months

It’s never too late to address sleep concerns. I offer focused and comprehensive sleep plans so you can have the support that is right for you. We focus on achieving independent sleep to improve most sleep troubles. Together, we can overcome sleep regressions, night wakings, and much more!

Preschool
3-5 years

Are you worried about the arrival of your new baby and how your toddler will handle the transition? I offer services that can help you with that. We can also address bedtime, crib transitions, pacifier elimination, and much more. Let’s work together to help your child, and you, get better sleep.

Discover Better Sleep is a pediatric sleep consultant business founded by me, Ashley Cheever, RN. As a fellow mom who has experienced the struggles and challenges of sleepless nights with my own child, it has made me passionate about helping families achieve better sleep. I use my expertise as a maternity nurse and mom to create an individualized approach and work closely with parents to develop effective sleep solutions tailored to their child's unique needs. There is a gap in community resources and reliable education about sleep. Misinformation, exhaustion, and outdated advice leaves parents wondering what is the right thing to do? This is why I created Discover Better Sleep. I turned to the Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parenting® to improve my ability as a nurse to care for families. Now, I can help families one on one by providing education and sleep support. Together, we can work through the exhaustion and create better sleep for your family.

I will work diligently with families to create the most effective and appropriate sleep plan that is unique to their child.

Crying Disclaimer:

I do my best to provide sleep training methods that decrease the amount of crying babies experience. My goal is to provide methods that work best for each family and their needs. However, it is unrealistic to think there will be no fussing whatsoever. I will do my best to minimize tears, but most of the time it cannot be completely eliminated.
